Navigating Challenging Emotions at Work (2 part series)

Course overview:
Times like these often require Stanford employees to make rapid and significant adaptations. In order to succeed, we need more than good plans and adequate technology – we have to learn how to navigate the people piece of uncertainty and change with each other. In this interactive session, you’ll learn how to approach the feelings that come up during times that are challenging, what kinds of reactions can be expected from others that are struggling, and how you can talk about what is going on in a productive way, so everyone can feel connected, supported, and focused in uncertain times.

In this session, participants will:

  • Recognize emotions in others
  • Ensure your colleagues and stakeholders feel heard
  • Ask questions that get to the heart of the matter
  • Empower others to focus on action

Format: Two sessions; Main session (1.5 hours) and Follow-up session (1 hour)

Course fee: $200
